Dr. Shae Anderson
Always an avid lover of books, it only made sense that Dr. Shae A. Anderson would start a publishing company one day. Shae founded UrbanEdge in 2008, and several years later Skyy Banks, one of her first authors, came on board and UrbanEdge became a partnership. Shae serves as CEO of the organization and handles back end duties, social media management, and other related tasks. UrbanEdge Publishing is a traditional publishing company that has recently expanded its offerings to meet the needs of the changing industry and now offers self-publishing services, author consulting, and other a-la-cart offerings for authors. Shae has an extensive background in English and professional writing with more than 15 years as an educator at the secondary and post-secondary levels, editor, and professional writer; she holds a B.A. in English (Bennett College), an M.A. in Technical & Professional Writing (Georgia State University) and a PhD in Rhetoric & Composition also from Georgia State University.
